There was also a German Shepherd in the previous Roosevelt family home
movie, prior to 1920, the 4th edition of the film by Ken Burns. It appears
that
the FDR branch of the Roosevelt's owned shepherds for many years as the
children appeared quite young. I smiled a lot while watching.
