[ SHOWGSD-L ] GREAT news about Dick Whalen

Just received this post about Dick, just had to share the GREAT news.
You might want to pass on the information to those who know Dick and Jean -
Dick and Jean kept me up past my bedtime last night!! We ate at Carrows in
Rubidoux after training class and talked and ate up 'til 11:00!!
Dick looked wonderful; seemed strong and in GREAT spirits!! He ate a hearty
dish full of French Toast, slathered with butter and syrup!! Not exactly
part of the Adkins Diet he had been on a couple of years ago, but, a most
enjoyable meal nonetheless!!
He was looking forward to this morning, which will be the first time in ages
that he only has to take ONE pill when he gets up, instead of the obnoxious
35 or so he has been taking!!
He and Jean won't be going to the National this year, as they are going back
to Hannibal, MO for Jean's 50th High School Reunion instead. I think Jean
was a child prodigy and probably was 3 or 4 years old when she graduated.
