My suggestion would be for the GSDCA to invite artist(s) within the membership,
give them a template they want, and pick the best one that surely describes the
standard. Then maybe offer an award, besides doing the standard. Give them a
time deadline. Believe it or not, you may find someone out there that has the
talent that you are looking for. But you cannot just throw names out there and
just pick! I think everyone, if possible, should have a chance! Look what the
AKC does every year for their poster contest!!!!!

How about we let Carolyn Martello do the drawings. Have you seen her work?
Incredible and she really captures the epitome of what a lot of breeders are
breeding for, standing and in motion.
Then we put the pictures on a website that any GSDCA member can log in with
their membership number, put radio buttons of "YES" and "NO" under each
illustration with voting allowed only once per membership number.
Cost to the membership? Carolyn & Bill's time.
I hope Carolyn & Bill are still my friends after this post <G>
