I have no idea what it costs. I do know that Las Vegas is hurting. I
attend
conventions there and used to have to book rooms a year in advance. I will
be going in March and there are still plenty of rooms available.
The Aussie people had their National there a couple of years
ago.Michael Gaughn the owner of the South Pointe is a very animal friendly
man. They had all the herding events on site.I got a packet from the South
Pointe convention people and sent it on to Joan Fox and took Bill Burgraff
on a tour of the site when the parent club had their meeting here in Vegas.
I was told the venue was not suitable. Joan found that Las Vegas was
planning a fancy dog facility that would accommodate our National but i don't
think the city budget allowed them to finish the project.. If i remember
correctly, joan thought that there might be a place in Laughlin, Nv that might
be doable. Laughlin is a small gambling town with 4 or 5 casino and
convention centers located about 50 miles from Las Vegas and is right on the
Colorado River
