Thought you all would be interested in what Pedigree had to say when I wrote
them to complain about their involvement with the American Humane
Association. And by the way I just got a renewel notice in the mail the
other day from the AHA and tossed it. I did however renew my AZ Humane
Society donation, as they do great work with the mobile pet ambulances.

As you may be aware, PEDIGREE created the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive to raise
awareness and funding of dog adoption by aiding shelters and breed rescue
organizations. We are not aligned with any legislation - our main objective
is to help find homes for the nearly 2 million dogs who enter shelters each
year.
We have received feedback from some parent clubs that they do not want to
receive a donation directly from the American Humane Association. We respect
and value the opinions and viewpoints of breeders and breed rescue
organizations, and to address this feedback, we are working to come up with
a solution on a dual consumer fundraising mechanism that will support both
shelter dogs and breed rescue dogs for our 2008 PEDIGREE Adoption Program.
Again, thank you for sharing your concerns with us as we continue our work
to find loving homes for needy dogs.
