Sent an email in regards to the $1 donation on ebay and this is the
response......don't think they are deterred. Maybe some more need to write
and show
their concerns.

Thank you for your message regarding the Humane Society of the United
States' participation in eBay's Add a Dollar for Charity program. I

As part of a testing phase for the launch of this new program, it is
rotating through a number of non-profit organizations, each for a very
brief time. These organizations were chosen in part based on their
popularity with the eBay community through the eBay Giving Works
program.
