Eastern Standard Time Subj: Ellie Dear Sandy In October after coming back from a kennel Ellie developed the following symptoms: Weight loss without loss of appetite; itching; intermittent loose stool but not full blown diarrhea; By December the weight was significant perhaps 12 to 15 lbs with ribs showing. Symptoms were as follows: More loose and unformed stool; gas/flatulence; mucus in stool at times; eating at all meals but sometimes vomiting immediately after a meal (5-10 min after finish eating); still heavy itching; no real lack of energy however by January there were days of lethargy associated with an increase rise in body temperature. Still eating twice per day but at least once per week would fail to eat one daily meal. She was diagnosed in late October with giardia. She was treated twice with Metronidazole with mild improvement and then decline at the end of treatment. Now on her third regimen. Recent blood test was determined normal. After a re-check there was a noted left band shift in the White Blood Cells. Would love some insight. Vincent A.
