If we want to get these bills killed in committee, we need to act
QUICKLY! These bills are fundamentally flawed. They limit the
number of intact females you can own, impose high licensing fees,
require twice-yearly reporting of names and addresses of puppy buyers to
the state, and require breeders to allow law enforcement to inspect
animals and paperwork "by request" (no warrant) at "any reasonable hour."
Remember, these bills may not affect you NOW, but they can decide to
lower the limits or extend the bill to affect MORE breeders at any
time... say next year when TN has an even greater budget shortfall
than now.
If anyone can attend these hearings in person that would be great.
We need to get as many phone calls made as possible. These bills are
flying under the radar to a great extent.
