I get migraines with low pressure systems, some worse than others. I have not
seen Bertha react too badly to bad weather, but the Pharaoh Hound was clearly
affected by weather. I had her on Xanax for storms, but low pressure would keep
her in her bed a lot more.

My neighbor whom I walk with every morning was telling me they thought they
were losing their 11 year old Catahoula hound, Tillie over the Thanksgiving
holiday. She totally shut down the day before Thanksgiving & for another
whole 24 hours. They thought maybe she had a stroke. She lay in one place not
taking in food/water & if she got up to relieve herself she could hardly keep
balance. When they told the vet what was happening, the vet said she was
quite sure it had something to do with the Barometric pressure. With a vet
check, etc., she also had a slight urinary infection. With med’s she was sent
home. Tillie was perfectly normal on our walk this morning. The vet said this
can happen often with older dogs. Truthfully I’ve never had this happen to
any of my many old dogs. I hope it never will. Kathy www.JoKaySedona.com
