Subject: Are you going to let Santa Barbara County become like LA?

Do you want Do you want to become like LA City and LA County who have now
enforced Mandatory Spay and Castration?  Do you realize that there are no
breeder
permits in SB County and that the limit of dogs you can have is three no
matter where you live, the size of the dogs or acreage?  This proposed change
to
the county does not address either breeder permits or increasing the dog limit.

Are you ready to fight to improve Are you ready to fight to improve Santa
Barbara's proposal (or eliminate) and will you be at the Forums in Santa
Barbara
County? They will most likely bus folks in to pack this room and their travel
will be paid for by PETA and HSUS and Mancuso I bet.  Santa Barbara is home
to Pedro Nava- co author of AB 1634.  Coincidence?  I donâ??t think so.
Is this mandate sponsored by the same people who tried to get the City of Is
this manda to do a position statement supporting California Assembly Bill
1634?  Iâ??d bet money on it.  This legislation is the example of what not to
do to
succeed if you agree with the No Kill Movement.  As a side note so is
AB1634.  Supporters of this mandate will push for harsher legislation as they
did in
LA.  Donâ??t you want Donâ??t you wan to be Dog Friendly?  Shouldnâ??t we be
a
beacon for progressive solutions not archaic?  We must band together to
improve or
eliminate this mandate.

Remember they have taken LA and stacked the agenda in LA City Council giving
the opposing side experts no chance to speak.  The LA City Council bowed down
to Bob Barker and the â??celebritiesâ?? and the Cities own â??expertsâ??.  We
were
setup to fail in LA and we will be setup to fail again in We were setup in 3
weeks unless we all band together.  From a friend who was there in LA the
opposition was an embarrassment.  With the thousands of dog fanciers in LA
area, we
should have outnumbered them but we didnâ??t.

Are you willing to help with some mailings to share the info with SB County
Vets, other clubs?  Are you willing to make phone calls?  Can you donate
funds
to cover mailings and postage?  I am but one person and Iâ??m looking for
like-minded individuals to help us keep Santa Barbara a positive example for
animal
lovers.  Are you willing to come up with a flyer to go to all dog friendly
places including stores and to be handed out at parks?

Please invite your friends your family, your co-workers, and neighbors to
come out and fight for us and to write letters.  Do you know any experts to
invite to get involved in this fight?  Have your written your letters to the
Board
of Supervisors?  Can you write letters for friends and family?

Have you read Redemption by Nathan Winograd? Our problems with animal
population are better solved other ways that have proven success- and the No
Kill
Revolution founded by Nathan Winograd is the way forward that all animal lovers
can support.

Are you willing to help us stop MSN in Are you willing to help us stop MSN
in Santa Barbara?   Donâ??t you think that we just need to improve education
that
promotes animal retention?  Wouldnâ??t you like to see more proactive
strategies in town over reactive?

Please mark your calendar and plan to go to BOTH!  Carpool with friends!
