I don't know how many people, here, live in Mohave County, AZ, BUT if you
DO, you should be aware that Mohave County is trying to pass a pet limit law
and Kennel Ordinance.  If you are interested in the gory details of this
horrific ordinance, please email me privately
(blackmagicarabians@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ) and I will send you a copy.  This aw
will impact pet owners, breeders, and rescues and will likely put most of
the breeders and rescues out of business in this count if it passes.  On the
either hand, pet owners who happen to be hobby breeders and breed more than
two females (even if they only have ONE litter per year) will have to obtain
a kennel license (dogs OR cats) and submit to inspections of your homes by
as many as THREE different agencies per year!  The ordinance is quite
convoluted and difficult to understand, so many may think the will not be
affected.  BUT, you WILL, if you own more than four dogs, or more than 10
cats OR if you have more than TWO in tact females.  So, even if you only
have THREE dogs or THREE cats, but two of the females are not spayed, you
will be labeled a commercial breeder and be required to undergo inspections,
obtain permits and renew them annually.
