Hi Sandy;
Try this web site below that Melissa gave me.
It is just SO MUCH EASIER.
Even if you breed your dog to a bitch that has produced coats.....you still 
won't really KNOW for sure
and in my opinion....looking around for a coated bitch that is "right" for him 
is not always simple.
This is simple and you KNOW the answer if someone inquires.
We did this with our Cowboy and knew shortly that he did not carry the coat 
factor.   
Just TOO EASY not to........<G>

Three ways 
#1 Breed him to a normal coat who does(by virtue of producing coats in the 
past)carry coat gene.
#2 Breed him to a long coat
#3 Order the kit and pay OFA to do it not sure on the cost. 
Personally I'd breed him and take my chances on getting coats.
