[ SHOWGSD-L ] Futurity counts

From year to year, there is a great variation in counts for the
regions. It seems to depend on who is judging where, and where the
handlers think a particular dog might do well.
This year the NW was a small entry, but there have been times when it
was HUGE!! Since the Futurities have become more than just another
match, the handlers seem to decide which region is the region of choice.
I personally would like them to be not so important. This is not sour
grapes, as we have won our share, and traveled many miles. Doris E
