Other Purina funds outside of the trophy designation may have been used for the
futurities, as I recall there were three funding designations, trophies is but
one. For my part, I assisted in the initial data collection that was given to
Purina for the initial funds and get the program rolling. Perhaps looking back
the minutes from that year would lend some more clarity, though not sure that
helps us with the current issues which I think a systemic, and require a much
bigger hammer then the Futurity funds can provide.
I am simply looking for a complete understanding as to the financial condition
of the PC. Good or Bad, and what the plan is to address both that and the
looming 2013 show. The membership needs some assurances that the proper
financial planning is in place and the folks best capable of dealing with a
crisis are involved if necessary.

Maybe the contract needs to be available to the current Futurity Chair AND the
Board for re-evaluation. Sad enough, the facts seem unavailable to the
membership, and most of us have only misinformation and half truths to go by. I
am surprised to hear that only part of the money was for the Futurity, when
even as recently as today some were still insisting that ALL the money was
supposed to go to the Futurities. What is the truth??
