Although I don't disagree that Futurity Trophies money CAN be solicited and=
successfully collected, that is missing the point of all this discussion.&a=
mp;nbsp; Also, the point is NOT whether Purina might in the future disconti=

It always amuses me to read, "write to your Board and the directors". =3D
Having done this, I can personally attest that only 3-4 ever bother t=3D o
respond, and it is always the same 3-4 individuals. So wh=3D at does = that
tellme, the rest don't really care or want to be bothered.&nb=3D sp; I =
know
most have full time jobs, so do I, so I can truly appreciate hav=3D ing
anotherlife besides the club. BUT, when one runs and then i=3D s elec= ted,
theyshould be aware of the fact that they have committed t=3D o that being
"part of the job".
If one or two people can change the entire course of action and allocation =
of money designated for a specific purpose without the approval or vote fro=
m the Board, then writing to the Board really is useless anyway. So l= =3D
et's
hope that a truthful explenation and disclosure of the new Purina cont=3D r=
act
will be provided and forthcoming.

beforethe show does, and if nothing else, use the money you =3D make sellin=

futurity catalog ads to pay for the tropies. It can be done an=3D d was for=
years before Purina came around in 2006. And there's nothing to p=3D revent=
local clubs from getting their own sponsors - a pet supply store or =3D loc=
al
company. I've seen that done too.
Purina mo=3D ney is a gift, and we should not think of it as something that=
we
are entit=3D led to.
Speaking of Purina, if people would have s=3D ent in their litter nominatio=
ns
and used the weight circles we would be get=3D ting even more money from
Purina. But whoever was in charge of sending in t=3D he nominations to Puri=
na
apparently didn't do that, so we missed out on tha=3D t money.
The Purina money is earmarked to enhance=3D the exhibitor experience, so an=
y
way you slice it, we benefit.
