Interesting idea and one I haven't heard before     But the issue I see, 
again, if there would be one single extra futurity for those absentees, that 
would cater to those who can afford to go anywhere or happen to live wherever 
that "extra" futurity was going to be held

Just a thought but if the system is going to be changed how about one 
additional 
uturity after all the Futurities are complete in which dogs that were absent 
an be shown.  Basically if they were out of coat, sick, etc. last chance.   
Pay 
ouble the entry fee to be eligible for this show.  Gives every dog that "fair" 
hance to be at their best without any side games. You could also wait to 
nnounce who the judge is after the normal Futurities are over if that was a 
oncern.

I think that it might be okay for people to be able to enter their dog in two
