Here is a new one I haven't seen or done.
Okay, here's what you're supposed to do and try not to be a
SCROOGE!!! Just copy this entire email and paste into a new blank e-
mail that you can send. Change all the answers so they apply to you.
Then, send this to a whole bunch of people you know, INCLUDING the
person who sent it to you. It's the season to be cheerful!!!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Some of each, mostly bags
2. Real tree or artificial?real, artificail all 6 of them !
3. When do you put up the tree? It starts the day after Thanksgiving. It
takes a couple of weeks to finish.
4. When do you take the tree down? I often leave my favorite tree up until
12th night. Part of that is it takes longer to undecorate that one , so I
save my favorite tree for last.
5. Do you like eggnog? Yes but I don't indulge...way to many calories !
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Ice skates around 7-8 years of age,
we lived in Waverly Iowa at the time, I thought since the Cedar River
was in our backyard I could skate there, NOT !!
7. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes, several of them
8. Hardest person to buy for? My oldest sister.
9. Easiest person to buy for? My new(and first) great-grandaughter, she
is young enough that she doesn't care what she gets, she smiles at
everything !
10. Worst Christmas gift ever received? I Don't think any gift has ever
been the "worst"
11. Mail or email Christmas card? I once wrote my own Christams greeting
in rhyme, that told a story, now I just can't seem to find the time.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? The all time favorite...the name escapes me
at the moment, but they still play it every year, Jimmy Stewart and Donna
Reed. Was that "It's a Wonderful Life " ?
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I often buy things through
out the year, but the BIG shopping begins after Thanksgiving
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yes, Our family used to
pass on a really ugly tie to some unsuspecting male, it continued to be
re-cycled for years. We finally had to get creative, and wrap it in a
bigber box and put something else heavy in it with the "ugly tie" I wonder
what ever became of it LOL
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Years ago my Mother made date
bar's, I no longer have the recipe. Mine never tasted as good as her's
anyway.
16. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Home, most of the time.
Occasionaly a white Christmas in Montana
17. Favorite Christmas song? Oh Holy Night....ditto with Kathy
19. Can you name Santa's reindeer? yes, all of them, again ditto with
Kathy
20. Do you have an Angel on top or a star? Angel on several, crossed
candy canes on the kitchen tree, A big oversized milk bone with a red
ribbon on the dog tree. A big red and green plaid bow with the ribbon draped
for about a foot down the side of the 9 1/2 foot tree.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Usually Christmas
morning.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? That is a hard one for
this "Christmas nut " to answer. The one thing I think would be people who
seem to be grumpy or Scrooge like. But then we never know what their life is
like...so just greet the frowner with a smile....it just may make their day
!
