I've gotten them to eat, also, by cooking good old hamburger in a frying pan,letting it cool somewhat and mixing with his kibble. Are his teeth still okay? If he has sore gums or an infected tooth,he might have trouble chewing hard kibble,Then you might have to put the kibble- hamburger mix in a blender ,like for puppies. Some dogs like the fish smell and taste. You can try Tuna fish mix also. But have your Vet check out his mouth.
