That should, of course, read: Fly your flag at HALF STAFF!
Hint: For those who can't lower their flags to half staff,
you should tie a black ribbon (one measuring at least as
long as the flag itself and is as wide as one of the
stripes) to the top/end of the flag. This is a proper way
of showing reverence for our fallen heroes whenever we
are ordered to lower flags to half staff. Just an FYI...
