hi guys,
As I sit back and read some of the issues with flying
with dogs, I have to reflect, I havent really had an
issue flying with any dogs for a while now. Although I
dont fly every weekend like other handlers, I do fly
regularly and havent had an issue. Usually when I fly
I take to 4-5 dogs and it never has been an issue. If
the plane doesnt take animals, then I request to be
put on a plane that does.
Yes, I have flown with shepherds, kerries, terriers,
water dogs, standard Schnauzers, and no, all my
flights arent direct, and its not easy (sometimes
theres a longer drive to the show site) but it can be
done. Ive flown to the east coast, midwest, the south
and a lot in the texas panhandle).Unless there is a
moratorium (heat restrictions), then it can be done.
As a note, if you are flying with animals to Conroe,
TX, your airport is Houston Intercontinental (not
hobby) been there done that. (anyone who has flown in
for the astrohall shows knows it!)
