Earlier today, there were a couple of posts which let us know that Virginia, 
Florida, Maine, Louisiana, etc., etc., are all just as important as each 
other.   That is true, for sure.   I remember how lost I felt when Los Angeles 
County in 2005 started their bid for Mandatory Spay/Neuter and there was no 
interest in listening to those of us who said....It's your city, county, state 
next. 
  And of course, that happened.   It's lonely out there when it's like that.  
 And we need to come to the aid wherever those who are taking away our right 
to own and enjoy dogs have infected the area.

One way those in the various states can find out what's going on, and I 
REALLY encourage you to do this, is to go to:

Walt Hutchen's is very involved nation-wide and you all in Virginia should 
know how hard he works for your state.   Bob Kane (SAOVA) is very involved, 
too, 
so check in on him.

And for those who wish politics to go away.   So do I...I want abandoned 
animals to all have a home.   I want shelter managers to all be for the animals 
rather than for the paycheck and the control and the power.   I want Animal 
Rights money backers to leave politicians out of their cash box.   I will write 
about politicians who blatantly side with HSUS and PETA and their ilk.   We 
didn't cringe when we talked about Levine and his AB1634.   And there have been 
other examples.   Sure, we have to be considerate of others and not turn the 
list into a political warfare, not necessary and shouldn't happen...but if the 
politicians are on a really dark side of the single issue of animals, I guess 
Zoe will have to shut me up....:-)
