You guys have missed most of the point. Go to the
pages at this link. Most of which is being debated has
been law for some time vet heath check etc. One of the
new
sticking points is that you must return the money paid
for the dog up to 150%. If you do not in a few days,
then you are guilty of a major misdemeanor. Old law
let the vets run up a bill that was equal to purchase
price. Now they can take 1 and a half times the
purchase price. No choice either. A reasonable charge
is one that is customary for the area. What happens if
the wrong diagnosis is made?
Now a dog can be sold as is or with replacement rights
if hip problem or other items. No more. just pay and
pay. Now the Florida Vets tell their clients the
breeder will pay for the expense. With new law, they
will run up the bill to max you better believe its a
bonanza for the Vets who no longer can run up the bill
by over doing shots Sell a pup for 500 and pay 750 if
anything goes wrong.
This stuff is no longer negotiable. Replacement pup
from next litter, no way as I read it.
The other point is that all vaccines and parasite
remedies must be issued by a vet or vet on the
premises. How many folks take their litter to a vet
for worming every other week. Hooks are bad all over
the area. If you dont treat them, you will lose them.
No wonder Frank Tate went to law school.
