[ SHOWGSD-L ] First C course trial & started leg

What a great end to a rewarding week of herding education! This past
weekend, Buckhorn Valley Kennel Club hosted it's first AKC C-course herding
trial and HT/PT (with boundary) tests at our facility - Rancho Terra Norte' in
Wellington, Colorado. The weeklong Summer Herding Symposium was a big
success with the majority of students heading home with new titles on their
dogs.
Yesterday under judge Carol Lucero, the big sable dog CH. Terra Norte's
Time Traveler, HSAs, TC, HTADIs, HRDIs "Owen" got his first started level leg
on the C-course. While I have always been proud of Owen's stock work - I am
especially pleased to qualify on the course designed to showcase the GSD.
Special thanks to Owen's co-owner Carol Cochran for letting him come play
stock dog the past few weeks while Norah was busy with her puppies.
