We can thank Frank for more than keeping us informed. He took over the
club while the club was in financial distress. He held spending and took steps
to make the GSDCA sound. It is.
In the past we have had unlimited spending. I remember hearing that
committees would go outside the budget and ignore the limits. I do know that
Fran
k refused to let anyone do that. Did we notice cost measures being changed?
No, the nationals have been great, if a bit hard to get to.
We also should recognize the board behind Frank and the willingness to
find solutions to the problems of this club.
I was asked to incorporate a new German shepherd dog club in case we had
to bankrupt the GSDCA. With the help and leadership of our president we
avoided that, and thankfully it wasn't needed.
Now we have a new board, a new president and a new club. Let's support
those willing to serve, and hope for more of the same. And, we should
criticize where we need to, and appreciate when it is due.
And please send something for the Juniors. I am tired of begging each
year. I like kids, but mostly when they are over 21 or so.
