As I understood it with my little pea-brain....we HAD to stay in St. Louis
to re-coup
losses from the expenditure with our World Trial National Combo year??
If you read the President's Message on page 2 of the January Review, we are
doing
so well financially that his recommendation is that we hire and PAY an
"Executive Director"
to manage all our Club activities!?
Exactly what we need. Someone PAID to tell us what we can and can't
do.... <G>
Wonder what happens if this Executive Director decides we must accept White
dogs
and never let them go...We MUST always have long coat classes no matter how
long
the days become...we MUST stay in St. Louis....and never see a great site
like Denver
again.......we must NEVER have a Judge, judge the National two times in a
lifetime..
or allow the Board to remain the same over many years.....sigh.....I'm just
sayin'.......
Guess I never realized how huge and "complicated" our dog Club really is
....so much
so that we now need a paid Executive Director?

It is the Golden Rule. He who has the gold, makes the rule.
The Board has decided that it is best for the club and the finances to hold
it in St. Louis. Or, at least that is what the Board has told the members.
Those who go to the St. Louis National agree with that decision. That seems
to be a substantial part of the club, so it is justified.
Often the minority is not sufficient to prevail. That is the way of the
world, and reality.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.

why is there always so much to discuss? Just go by the rules. Who makes all
these decisions? Let the membership vote every year to where the national
will be the next year or two. I do not show at the national level but I love
to go. Why not make it easier for more members to go to a national if they
