He sure is a handsome boy, and I would love to see him
However, I cannot travel. I teach and only have ten days off for the whole
school year total. I can't afford to use those going to dog shows, esp. when
cold and flu season is high.
I also run the church choir, so Friday and Sat shows where I would have to
travel long distances in each direction, are not a good idea. And I don't show
on Sundays. So my shows are restricted to local or summer shows, and still
there
are many church events I take part in on those Saturdays.
One day I will travel, one day I will make a National. But it probably won't be
till I retire, and not within the lifetime of this dog.

Actually, Harley has been primarily shown in California, Arizona, & Nevada;
these are the three states he has done all of his AKC and IABCA conformation
winning in. The vast majority of wins have been in California. As a puppy, he
was shown in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. His first major was won at a
Southern
California Specialty Show (San Diego) and his second major was won the next
weekend, at a Northern California Specialty Show (Sacramento). ALL of his
Grand
Champion points were attained in California. His Best in Show and Best in
Specialty Show, were won in Northern California. We are hoping to add New York
and New Jersey to these aforementioned, very satisfying and pleasing, States.
(Fingers crossed)
We plan to go to Canada next year, aiming for, and hoping to achieve, a
Canadian
Championship.
Harley has been shown at all Nationals since Daytona and his Futurity in Ohio.
He finished his HT at the 2008 National Herding Trial in Texas and his PT at
the
2009 National Herding Trial in Ohio.
We do love to travel. And, we have met so many wonderful, interesting people
along the way. I have been a member of the GSDCA since 1976. I bought my
first
GSD in 1971. 2010 is the VERY best year of my "dog" life, so far!! :-)
This weekend he won 2 more Select ribbons at Lompoc, a Central California show.
He gave JR his first "Harley" kiss on the way home. I think this team is
working out fantastically!!

.......Look at the record for Harley Davidson. I don't believe he has ever been
shown outside the state, except maybe Arizona which for us is local.
But, everyone knows we in California are nuts anyway.
