Why do judges fault going away ? Because it's easy to see. Many judges find the GS difficult to judge and do not intend to learn. This is true of mostly the multi-group and all-rounder judges. They probably have forgotten, if they ever knew, that the feet move inward toward a center line when the dog is TROTTING. Now, how many AB rings have you seen that are large enough for the dog to take more than eight steps on the down and back, much less get into stride on a trot ? Some of these judges are quick to admit that they do not understand the breed, thus, they go their merry little generic way and continue to reward mediocre.
