I'm not on Facebook as I just don't have the time...so I don't really know
whether or not
that is part of the reason the List is not getting many posts. BUT...it could
be as I know
I'm not even involved in it .....and I get hundreds of invites....so it has got
to be very time
consuming just to keep up. There is no way I have time for it.
I think the List rules are more than fair and very necessary as has been shown
more
than once .........when we don't follow the rules.... we have problems. <G>
( would be great to post photos....but it's a huge list to handle that )
All I know is it sure isn't what it used to be regarding discussions about our
show
dogs......even though it IS a list for SHOW GSD's.
Used to be great discussions about the Standard, movement, faults, correct
structure,
what to strive for......what to be concerned about according to what we are
seeing...shows,
conditioning, grooming........etc. Hardly see that anymore. Mostly all off
topic.
A GREAT group on this List for helping quickly with advice on problems, help
for almost
any question......willingness to help with almost any problem.
But great in depth discussions about the Breed.........really lacking. I
miss that.

I find Face Book like trying to read a bowl of Alphabet soup. All these
subjects going on at the same time.
Throw in a few senseless games. 40 Me To comments, pix of grand kids. I just
don't like it.
Plus every single time I go there I pick up spy wear. I don't use it at all.

I have been asked often to join Facebook. The latest was from a top music
producer. Today I got a reminder that he asked me to join a network, I
think it was something like Linkline. I just ignore them.
I know for a while I was on Facebook because a client wanted me to see her
audition for Orange County Housewives and to watch it she put me on Facebook.
I got over 300 application to be a friend to people. They were mostly people
who I thought I already was friends with, and so I asked my young secretary
to get me off the system.
I have enough to deal with trying to keep up with the List. I can't imagine
where
I would find the time to do anything else. I doubt I will ever join a social
network.
Either on the internet or in person.
I am becomming less social as I get older, and never started out to be a
joiner.
And, no, I do not want to meet singles over 60, or to find out about
retirement homes, or how to enlarge body parts, or to buy drugs on line, even
if
Viagra is half price. And, other than the four hour thing, 1/2 off does
not paint a pretty picture.
Who have these people been talking to?
