I am starting to get people that are interested in this project, but I don't
want to step on any feet.
What is different about this idea from the other Facebook projects is this a
continual, usable resource. In Dalmatians, we have 5 albums - black spotted,
liver spotted, Non-North American, Dogs On Ice and Up & Coming Stars. People
are allowed to put TWO photos in the albums with as much information as they
can cram into the "add description" part. Information for GSDs might include:
Dog's registered name, call name, sire, dam, health clearances, CHIC #, coat
factored, colored factored, what has he sired so far (if he's been used) and
any fancy wins.
This is NOT and I repeat, NOT a brag session. It is an informational resource.
Also, I make it very, very clear that there is NO critiquing or criticizing of
the dogs on the list - if I see anything, the comments are deleted. This is an
open and honest place.
There is no advertising of puppies or bitches to lease or show wins, it is ONLY
for the boys.
If you are not on facebook, but have boys you want to add, I can get them up
there as long as the photos and complete information are emailed to me directly.
So, what do you all think and what albums should we start with, if I do this
project (which reminds me, there is nothing in this for me as I just have two
spayed GSD girls, but I do want to see people start opening the gene pool and
they need to know what is available - not just all the current "hot dogs").
