I don't think whether a person is a newbie or a seasoned GSD person should make
a difference. Sometimes, the "newbies" can bring more fresh ideas and
perspective to the table. I think discouraging anyone from joining a committee
or board on any level is wrong. What happen to encourage not discourage. Then
we wonder why people are not joining clubs or quitting. Hellooooo.....

i was going to reply to elizabeth privately but decided to include the list

've never met elizabeth in person but have shared many email conversations
with her. yes, she is relatively new - BUT, she asks intelligent
uestions, respects the opinions of others, whether or not she agrees with them,
is bright and eager to learn. elizabeth is one of the few i have "met" over
he years who has not gone through the "omniscient novice" phase - she
ants and is more than willing to learn. she's bright and loves this breed.
ow, for those of us who haven't met elizabeth face to face, who on earth
ould doubt the dedication and tenacity of someone who trained for and then
andled her own dogs in the AOH class at the national and did a darned good
job?!?! i would love to hear what she can offer the club and, if she
ver does decide to run for the board, this lady will get my vote.
