The issue of control over communications has gone on since the serpent asked
Eve in the Garden, âHath God Said?â There came into being, in the later
part of the 18th Century, oh, along about 1776, a doctrine that recognized the
need of people and officials to control communications. It was called the
doctrine of free speech. Iâd love to charge for everything I say, but then,
no one would pay or read it, so it is free. So also with Lindaâs videos.
There was no notice of connection with any official organization or entity.
They were sent as a friend of the breed to those who were not at the show, as a
courtesy. The main breed video she made and put up similarly represented
nothing other than her opinion on the breed. She did not connect it to any
official organization or system. It is free to watch or delete, enjoy of
criticize. So enjoy You Tube, Facebook and the computer world. Enjoy it as I
did or make your own. Anyone can do it and exercise your freedom.
The fact that someone is a judge, a breeder, a woman or a human being does not
mean they cannot say what they want. Linda did, the list gives us that
opportunity as does the existence of the computer world. So go for it, and
thank you Linda for your opinions. I liked them. The committee is free to do
one too. This does not preclude anything official, although it might be easier
to just adopt this one. Besides, there is Ebola in Africa, war in the Middle
East (as usual), the Nationals in St. Louis and a newspaper full of other earth
shaking events. One video or five on You Tube does not a crisis make.

And the BS keeps coming!
First I learn that certain "members" of The GSDCA are not happy about the video
I created. It was not produced by the GSDCA education committee and there have
been "concerns" because it has been circulated through judges lists.
I replied that I never sent to any judges lists; but over 1100 views lends
itself to distribution. Secondly; I did not create as an educational video; I
created to bring some positive energy to the club, acknowledge breeders, and
wish exhibitors good luck at The Nationals. I further stated that I will not
remove from You Tube. It is a positive reflection of our breed.
Next move ............How low can they go? Pretty darn low!
Someone sent a copy of the video to The AKC. AKC wanted me to know they loved
the video; but someone may object if any dogs used in the video are exhibited
under me and someone may see it as a "conflict of interest."
............so I went through the dogs in the video and contacted owners/two
handlers to confirm their dogs are retired (many are deceased) and/or will
never be shown under me.
The video remains! NEXT ???
