Maybe there is a reason for that for it does offer more at the Nationals for
outsiders to see in the GSD.
Saw more turnout outside of Spectators than inside with people watching it
does draw the crowd. I could
pick and chose where to park before but not the case last year. So the
National now offers choices of what
to watch in all sports of the GSD.
Now still the best place to Promote the GSD is at the Purina Farm otherwise
the only Spectators you have
are the GSDCA members and friends. Going to Specialty Shows majority of the
people there are the same
not very many outsiders. Promotion is still the number one reason that sells
the breed otherwise we are just
selling it to ourselves. Rotation costs the GSCA Club money that is not
available at this time maybe in the future.
Rotating the Nationals is mainly for the members to get together among
themselves to
show their dogs so no advantage to sell the breed to others. The reason the
American bred GSD gets so much
negativity is people never see the real dog as it is hid behind the scenes at
Motels, etc. The Purina Farm
again is still the most promoted site.
Might add the Universal Sieger Show that was suppose to be in New Jersey in
May it too ended up at the Purina Farm for cost
reasons as I understand. The IPO members just went with the flow and moved on
to the Purina Farm. Are there not too several that
also are members of the GSDCA?
