I don't believe it for a minute. I ran a COI on Geneva (and hence Ginny) and
though the COI for Geneva is only 5.03%, R-Man is 25% of blood. Lance is
20.95 with a 1.92% contribution to COI.. STILL. Lance is back a ways and
still influencing the pedigree.
One of my mottos... never say never. A couple of examples... the bi color
(no tan) in Collies is supposedly bred out of the breed. It is supposed to
no long exist in the breed. And yet... a breeder in TX a few years ago had
both a bi-black and a bi-blue pup show up. DNA tests were done and it was
definetly purebred. No "visitors in the woodpile", LOL!
Irish Setters have been bred solid red now for decades and yet red and white
STILL comes up. Same goes for Golden Retrievers where the occassional black
pup pops up.
