I have been asked by Erika Buckley's family to announce to the 'dog world'
that
Erika Buckley passed away yesterday morning on June 11th in the Hospital in
Auburn, Calif. She has two daughters, Kirstie and Bonnie.....and one son
Keith.
Erika is not famous or well known to the show world of German Shepherd
Dogs...but
she loved this Breed and her dogs with a passion that never faltered. I
believe Erika was
a 30 year member of the GSDCA, Inc. and a long time member of the GSDC of
Sacramento
Valley, Inc. She bred GSD's for many years under the name of Tamarin.
She bred one Champion that was handled by her dear friend Lois Gregor, and
Erika put a
herding title on him herself. Not an easy task as Erika was elderly at that
time.
She always wanted to do more for the Breed.....but age caught up with her.
She has been
a friend to us and many others in Northern California for quite a few years.
We will miss her.........
