I know that Amy is unhappy having to do all the last minute entries along with
Christmas. But if you schedule your shows for the first weekend of January
there will be conflict with the holidays. But jsut the same, it would be so
very nice if entries were in more timely all year round.
As secretaries are asked over and over how the entries are coming, and until
the hour they close, it is a one point show. Secretaries chafe and panic.
Club officers worry and lose sleep thinking they have no show at all and then,
suddenly they are innundated with fax's and phone calls that should have been
mailed days or weeks before.
I think part of it is the desire to be not the first in the ring. It is
better to move up than to be moved back. But someone has to be first in the
ring!!!
I am not going to be secty this year for Miami, but I will be close to the
action, as close I can be without knowing who is entered. So I will be as
worried as Ignacio about the entries and I will have the count of dogs and
bitches, but not the class breakdowns.
I will be panicing along with the secretary of the Ft Lauderdale club as our
shows are together for the first time.
It would be loverly if all would enter in a timely fashion.
Consider giving club members your entries when you are at the Orlando shows.
It would make it so much easier for all of us involved in putting on these
shows.
