Michael Lynch You are partially right, Mike. It boils right down to the fact that people cannot wait for a breeding that would enrich the desired pigment. They have a dog they want to show and the loss of pigment does not deter them because if it's a problem then the enhancement will do the trick. It is the here and now that counts like "I cannot throw away this dog because of the color". There would be no need to educate the judges if patience and time were used. The standard states "rich colors", so lets have rich colors with the next breeding and there will not be any repercussions while doing the wrong thing.
