[ SHOWGSD-L ] Educational National...NOT boring

I was at the national this year along with many other people. This was NOT
my "first national". It was my 15th. I was NOT bored and I watched all of
the Specials. During the time that Helen had the dog standing & making her
critique, I was also making my OWN notes, which I will go back to for the next
several years. I liked seeing the dogs stand "natural" and appreciated the
time she took with EACH ONE of them.
I thought Helen's procedure was easy to follow and I appreciated watching it
(and it was NOT the procedure that I've seen used in Germany at the Sieger
Show, which I've also attended many times). Although I didn't necessarily
agree with all of Helen's decisions/placements/cuts, I have never been to a
national where I *have* agreed with the judge completely :-) Of course, I am
sitting in the stands and the judge is in the middle of the ring getting a
different perspective.
