Jamie I have to agree with Jamie about this. I too have a kennel and have boarded several Labs as well. The young ones are as Jamie described. And they bark and bark, so much that we put them on the side of the kennel that is away from our house. Oh, and the black ones shed an awful lot. I think they start to become manageable somewhere around four years old <VGB>.
