Unfortunately, I have also had a dog with EPI. Raw did not work for her. This was back in the 1990s, so BARF (Ian Billinghurst) was the most popular and well known raw diet then. I also tried following "The Ultimate Diet" (by Kymythy Schultze). I tried both diets with and without pancreatic enzymes. It didn't work for her. I tried many different kibbles, but what I finally found that DID work for that dog, was Royal Canin (German Shepherd variety) with Viokase...a LOT of Viokase. I also had to let her food sit for 20-30 minutes with enzymes "digesting" them before I fed. Later in life, she developed cancer and during chemotheraphy, she ate cooked (boiled) chicken breast and rice with a LOT of Viokase. I had to use the BRAND name Viokase for many years, but after chemo, was able to use a generic pancreatic enzyme that I bought in bulk through an EPI dogs email list.
