We do contact non renewing members and encourage them to come back. Ever=20
since I starting sharing the responsibilities of the Membership Committee w=
ith=20
Gail Hardcastle, approximately four years ago, we have contacted all member=

who do not renew. Every year we go back approximately 18 months so there i=

an overlap of timing. Below, at the bottom of this e-mail, is a copy of th=
e=20
note that I send out to these non-renewing members.

We also have in place a Welcoming Committee subcommittee that has =20
representatives in each region and whose responsibilities are to contact new=
members,=20
provide guidance and support, give them information regarding regional club=
s,=20
vets, training classes, etc. This committee is the brainchild of Zoa=20
Rockenstein. Unfortunately, we have not been too active with this subcommi=
ttee=20
while I was focusing in learning my new Membership Database responsibilitie=
s. =20
But... I hope to get this group moving again soon and will even add some=20
additional leads. As it stands today, I send all the members of this subco=
mmittee=20
a listing of new GSDCA members. I will, in the future, also send out an AK=
C=20
listing of all GSD owners who have recently attained AKC titles. If you or=

anyone you know who is a member of the GSDCA is interested in serving in th=

subcommittee, please let me know - we need your help and assistance. =20
