My hubby bought the wand attachment and we only tried it once.  Our Dremel 
is a plug in one and we do the dogs nails like we always have( they lay on 
the floor next to my hubby) so the noise doesn't seem too big a deal for 
them. We never have to turn the power all the way up either.  Just buy a 
heavier grit of round sandpaper end to use.   It is very easy to use.  If it 
wasn't, I wouldn't be able to use it!!!!!
