Well, overnight all the blood resorbed and left what looked like a small desiccated piece of flesh attached (about the size of a short fingernail) The vet checked it out and since it was attached by a sliver of flesh, she snipped it off. And that was that. She agrees that it probably was a skin tag that somehow filled with blood. Poor guy retracted so far it took two of them down there to move it out to examine it. :-) So Dreamer is fine again... until the next odd happening Thanks, everybody, for the suggestions and the caring.
