I meet Fred at the Triangle shows about four years ago, he's one of the reasons
I keep going back. On that first meeting he told me one of the funniest jokes I
have ever heard...and no I can not repeat it..lol...Each time we talk live or
on-line he either tells me another joke of shares a little about his life. Last
Friday night in Chicago Fred told me something that I have been thinking about
over and over all week long. Since this was a private conversation I asked if I
could share it here. I already discussed it with my fourth graders...and they,
believe it or not, understood Fred's point and we had a very good
discussion!...Fred told me that no matter what endeavor in life you get
involved in ,you must consider the possibility that you could be 100% wrong in
your position or point of view, and if you can't consider this possibility
you're not worth anything to anybody...Fred gave me that Fred smile of his cuz
he read my face as I paused to think that one over...I told him
that he
was absolutely correct...God knows I am extremely opinionated...and far too
many times my Ego tricks me into thinking I'm always right ( except in school
because I leave my ego at home)...so because of these great words of wisdom...I
now shall refer to Mr Miglore as Dr. Migliore....driving to Santa Maria this
afternoon with Basu...listening to Basu for three hours is almost worse that
riding in a school bus with 80 second graders..lol..."Jocko's" look out, cuz
here we come.....FB
