Dr. Jacklyn E. Hungerland, a dog fancier and AKC judge, died on January
23, 2008. Dr. Hungerland was the first woman every elected to the Board
of Directors of the American Kennel Club. Dr. Hungerland was a member
of many kennel clubs and specialty clubs in northern California. Her
