Actually, this punishing for double handling can be "overdone". Many
years ago,
I was showing a beautiful, young Elkie bitch. She was very close to
finishing &
actually had never yet been beaten by another bitch.
Anyway, I was at the show alone & had never taught the Elkies to
double. We were
in winners ring when a man walked by the ring - looked in the ring & then
started
to quickly walk away. The judge told me to stop the doubling. I told
him that I was
NOTdoing so - she knew no one outside the ring. Did not help - he dumped us
& told me that she would have had the points if I had stopped the
doubling..............
I was not happy :)
