[ SHOWGSD-L ] Re: Double handling

Somone wrote that they thought it was "too funny"about carrying
the cat around the ring to double a GSD. Well,I find it "too pathetic"
that they have to resort to baiting a dog with a live animal to get the
proper results. We are always talking about wanting to get John
Q.Public more interested in our shows,breed,etc. In what light does this
present our breed to the general public? Kind of like pit bulls that are
baited with live animals? With all the BSL going on,I can't believe
this can help the GSD image,any. Personally,I feel that if this is what
it takes to get that dog "going" maybe it should try another venue.
Because this is a well known/liked person,no one wants to say
anything,but I have a feeling if this was a new person,it wouldn't be
tolerated. Nor should it.
