Morgan, WHAT are you talking about????  We're hosting the World  Show.  It 
coincides with the Centennial.  Therefore it's a big  deal.  We needed a big 
site, close to an airport that had lots of direct  North American flights 
that also handles lots of European flights. The site  committee is finalizing 
the contracts.  Did you want to be involved in the  
negotiations????????????  And why on earth should contract negotiations be  
done in public????  Are 
you KIDDING ME?????
 
Here's an analogy...lets say you are a member of a church, just a member,  
not on the finance committee. The church is old and needs a new roof.   
Should the pastor call YOU before deciding which bid to accept????  Or  maybe 
print the bids in the Sunday flyer???  Silly right????  Or from  yesterday's 
news...let's say you own a share of HP.  They want to do a  merger.  Should 
they call you first????  YOU MEAN THEY DIDN'T??????  Even sillier...right???? 
 
Dear God this nonsense had to stop!  We elected a board, they are  working 
hard on our behalf and when they have something to report we receive  timely 
updates.  There were prior boards that weren't so transparent, but  you 
can't say that now.  We receive e-mails, club news, timely minutes of  
meetings.  And still, every day, there are dozens and dozens of posts  beating 
this 
board up for the sins of their predecessors.
 
I SWORE I wasn't going to get into this one.  What a waste of  time....
