[ SHOWGSD-L ] Dolly Does Baton Rouge! and Homer too!

What a wonderful weekend we had in Denham Springs just east of Baton Rouge.
The weather was beautiful and the flowers were in bloom and the trees were in
foilage. South Park, Denham Springs was beautiful. We were far back in the park
and the ring area was surrounded by trees. How perfect!
The show committees of the GSDCof Baton Rouge, GSDC of La., and GSDC of Gter
Shreveport withLinda and Mike Booker, and Patti Harman in charge made sure all
went well.
I know that I was a long way from home(PA) but I felt very much at home.
Talk about Southern Hospitality! I got to try a lot of new things on the
Southern menu. Scott Trahan and friends gave us all a treat on Sat. evening as
we
went to a great place and tried Crawfish, Gumbo and Etouffle. Yes, it was
good!
I met lots of new freinds that I hope to see again!
Now for the news:
Our Breal's Homer's Odyssey was WD on Friday under Lee Brown and Ch.
Shadyrock's Dancing Doll (Dolly) went Best of Breed!
Thank you, Lee!
On Sunday Shadyrock's Phantom of the Opera(OG) was 3rd Senior Maturity dog.
And on Sunday "Dolly " was BEST IN MATURITY!
Thank You, Joan Fox!!!!!
What a thrill!
What a weekend to remember! Dolly seems to give me a lot of those!
What can I say but HUGE THANKS to my friend and handler, Jeff Plye!
You always make the right decisions for my guys, and you always give
110 per cent! Dolly looked suberb with you!
And to you Nick! You may not have Dolly again! She fell in love with you
completely and I am jealous!
Thanks to all the wonderful people who worked so hard and made the weekend so
nice!
Congratulations to all the beautiful winners!
