A brief political moment. The AR movement reminds me of the Religious Right.

This isn't about anxiety, dogs, or the Public. It's about Control. Power and
Control. Make no mistake about it. It's about a well-organised, well-funded (by
ignorant but well-meaning people) minority's effort to inflict their beliefs
and lifestyle on the rest of us, especially pet-owners. It's about bringing
more government intrusion into your life, about violating your basic rights to
own and use YOUR property, and violation of the Due Process Clause of our
Constitution.
If you can't or won't believe that, look at what has happened in Albuquerque,
Denver, and Louisville, and what is about to happen in California. 230 years
ago, our forefathers (some of my direct ancestors among them) rose up and
fought against similar tyranny being inflicted by a British King (who many
historians believe was very probably insane). We may just have to do it again,
if things keep going the way they are.
