We have "First Right of Refusal" and "Lifetime Takeback" on our contracts,
and we mean it.
Things can happen to anyone in this economy, and with the war going on, a
lot of folks who are Reservists and Guard
get shipped out.
Divorce, Death, Illness or maybe it just isn't working. We also cover that
part with a 48 hour "no questions asked" return
policy, because well sometimes it just wasn't a good idea , and people get
overly excited about a dog/ puppy. To their
dismay, maybe the spouse or dog or cat or kids aren't so thrilled. It
happens.
We feel very responsible for our dogs. We worry about them, we wonder about
them. Even the rescues we pull, when we
have the chance, have the same takeback policy. They didn't ask us to pull
them from a shelter and rehome them...so
we have to be responsible for having done that.
Because of these things, I sleep better at night.
